The most romantic place in Gilbert on Valentine's Day was a little farmhouse in the middle of town, where at least four weddings took place. Presiding over the weddings was The Rev. Amy Miller, who operates The Chapel at the Farm in a 1920s cottage in the Farmhouse Village complex at 397 S. Gilbert Rd. Miller has operated the chapel only about 15 months, but says she has been happily surprised to find that, "this was an idea whose time had come," and she has booked more than 225 weddings. She said the chapel attracts brides and grooms from across the Valley and even Casa Grande and other outlying cities. "I found that I have tapped into a huge demographic niche," she said. "We are attracting brides and grooms looking for a special, beautiful, intimate, personal place-but a place that is also affordable. We offer all that right here." The wood-frame farmhouse in fact once was in another part of agricultural Gilbert, but now is one of six homes in the Farmhouse Village, two of which were originally on the property. FULL STORY
